Biometric and Face Data Usage

1.1 Collection of Face Data:

 

GiveSafe collects face data, including photographs, of the beneficiaries being administered by ambassadors.This data is collected to ensure that profiles of the beneficiaries are complete and can support their engagement with donors and the GiveSafe platform. Donors and ambassadors can choose to add a photograph or avatar of any image and no face data is taken of either.

 

1.2 Purpose of Face Data:

 

The face data collected is used solely for the purpose of identifying and managing beneficiary profiles within the GiveSafe system. It is not used for biometric identification of ambassadors or donors. This data helps facilitate transparency and accountability in interactions between beneficiaries, ambassadors, and donors. Additionally, the face data of beneficiaries is used to prevent fraud, to identify them when they interact with ambassadors to receive their benefits, and to comply with anti-money laundering laws.

 

1.3 Storage and Security:

 

All face data is securely stored and protected using industry-standard encryption. This information is retained in the GiveSafe system on a secure private cloud. It is kept until such time as the beneficiary requests their account removal or if required by law for tax liability and financial transactions. We are committed to safeguarding this data and will not share it with outside parties, except as required by law.

 

Personal Data and Privacy

 

2.1 Collection of Personal Data:

 

GiveSafe collects personal data, including but not limited to your name, email address, and phone number. For ambassadors, beneficiaries, and donors, this information is used to help identify you, manage your account, and communicate with you. Donors need not provide address information unless they request tax documents. Providing contact information and address is optional for beneficiaries.

 

2.2 Use of Personal Data:

Your personal data will only be used for the purposes of account management, administering your account, and providing customer support. We will not sell your personal data to third parties.

 

2.3 Data Sharing:

 

We do not share your personal data with any third parties, except as necessary to provide the services offered by GiveSafe or as required by law.

 

Location Data

 

3.1 Collection of Location Data

 

GiveSafe may collect data about the locations where ambassadors, beneficiaries, and donors sign up, where donations are made, and where benefits are distributed to beneficiaries. This information is used for security purposes, including the protection of our ambassadors, donors, and beneficiaries, as well as for fraud prevention and anti-money laundering compliance. Additionally, it is used for analytical purposes and to improve our services.

 

3.2 Anonymization of Data:

 

Location data will be collected without any personally identifiable information. This means that while we may know where donations are made, where beneficiaries sign up, and where benefits are distributed, we will not know who is involved in these activities excluding ambassadors who will have data for security purposes.

 

3.3 Data Sharing:

 

We may share anonymized location data with partners or third parties for analytical purposes. However, this data will not include any information that could identify individual users.
